Hilary Dessouky Hilary Dessouky believes that lawyers can and must drive the success of businesses working to create positive change for people and the planet. As General Counsel for Patagonia (which she joined in 2012), she has helped shape the company's approach to corporate governance through its benefit corporation status, which is based on a commitment to prioritizing social and environmental considerations over financial return. One way Patagonia does this is by operating on-site, high quality, company-run child care for its employees through outdoor-oriented child development centers. Hilary currently lives in Santa Barbara with her husband and two daughters, who have had the good fortune to grow up coming to work with their mom each day.
